Recent First Hotel Millennium Review: "Having read mixed reviews about the hotel I didn't expect too much but was very pleasantly surprised. My single room was small but well furnished, clean and both extremely warm and comfortable. I even had a small balcony, albeit covered in an inch of snow! The location of the First Millenium was great, only 5 mins walk from Karl Johan's Gate and Stortinget,  10 mins from Aker Brygge yet the street was very quiet with only the odd tram rumbling past. The breakfast room was small but had a wide choice on offer. As a vegetarian, I often struggle in European hotels as breakfasts are usually quite heavy on the cooked meat but I had no problems here - fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheeses, delicious breads, jams and preserves as well as cereal and eggs and beans. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it without hesitation - great value in a very expensive city."
